PIVOTAL

Pivotal is a modular, customizable, flat-packaged cardboard lamp that can be easily assembled at home. Making use of cardboard axles to allow each arch to pivot and create numerous distinct forms. The lamp is designed so the user can always change its shape and never get bored.

We each explored our individual concepts further with a low-fidelity prototype (left). Our final direction incorporated my radial and flexible concept with a new pivoting mechanism, which we created several test prints of (right).
